Summary: The location is nice and we were lucky to get great weather to stay outside most of the time. Be aware it could be a bit painful by walk because house is up to the hill... but that's ok and the good thing is the location is very calm with and great view. Furnitures are old school and in very good shape, the floor creaks which is charming but this could awake the whole house... the kitchen is really very well equiped if you want to cook. Owner is a nice lady and we learnt on our arrival that she stayed in a small house just next door...really next door so it may not work if you look after 100% privacy.

Summary: We really enjoyed our 2weeks here. The morning sunrises were amazing! Loved having the space to spread out, it is quite a hill to walk up on the way back from town but we got used to it and helped our fitness! The town has so much to see and again we loved being able to see the 3 major icons from our house. Just be aware it has stairs(15 steps to first level and 15 to top level, very squeaky too ha! ) was fine for us but incase u r older or impaired could be an issue.

Summary: I don’t believe in “modern” when I visit France. I want French! This house is fully equipped yet it takes you back in time. Hats off to the owner! One caveat, expect your after-dinner exercise going back up the hill from town: it’s steep!

Summary: The home is located on a hill overlooking Le Puy-en-Velay and has fantastic views of the town and surrounding hills. Because of the location, getting to the town and local attractions is easier by car than walking (particularly walking back from town up a steep incline). Between the outdoor patio, beautiful garden and the walk to town, you'll spend much of your time outdoors. We enjoyed our stay!

Summary: Bel Air Villa is perched up a hill on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Le Puy. It has stunning views overlooking the town and notably towards the cathedral and the Virgin Mary perched on a volcanic outcrop. The villa was comfortable and well furnished with French traditional furniture and small modern but adequately equipped kitchen. There was plenty of cutlery and crockery. It was lovely sitting outside on the patio in a very nice garden well secured and pet friendly. You wil lhowever need good ground clearance on your car to get through the gate. There are plenty of very interesting local attractions from chateaus in the Haute Loire, churches, Abbeys and of course Le Puy Cathedral. The local landscape is fascinating, dissected valleys and high gentle rolling plateaus all enabling walking for all standards. For the adventurous there are activities trips down the Allier and Loire valleys. We sampled excellent cuisine within walking distance in Le Puy and the steep incline back will shave off a few calories. The owner was very responsive about enquiries and made sure that someone met us on arrival. We opted for paying extra for linen and cleaner.

Summary: we were very nicely welcomed. House was very tidy and clean. Kitchen fully equipped. bathroom as well with a proper washing machine and drying machine. it was the first time ever that we had been to a house that's exceeded our expectations. Yes, its over a hill and without a car you will have to walk all the way up but the view from the garden overlooking the cathedral is worth it. We would always prefer to have our lunch/Dinner in the terrace because it was simply the most beautiful place in le puy en-velay. We all felt sad to leave after we spent 3 weeks in villa bel-air. Because it simply felt like home, but in heaven.
